This is an early use of what is more famously known as the Love Theme from The Godfather, which cost Rota the 1972 Academy Award for Best Original Score. Whilst the theme is the same, the character of the music is very different, although elsewhere on Fortunella it is slowed down it never mimics the mandolins or orchestral treatment on The Godfather.
